Mazama 2008

August 8-10th. I met Martina, Phil, Jenny Fry, Jill, Larry, and Gena in Newhalem, where I left my car (thanks to security guard Michelle, thanks!) and tried to bike the whole trip to Mazama. I didn't make it. I died. It rained and thundered, and I quit just before Rainy Pass. Only Phil actually opted to go the whole way. Went hiking with the group (more joined us) the next day at Maple Pass Loop, 8 mile hike, then biked from there downhill to Mazama about 20 miles (so I did the whole bike ride except from Rainy to Washington Pass, which is probably the hardest part of the trip!). Hiked the next day with Scott and Doc (who met up with us Saturday night after doing Crater Mtn) up to Cuthroat Pass, another 12 mile hike.
