White River /Indian Creek Loop, Glacier Peak Wilderness

August 11/12, 2007.
*original trail we wanted was closed bec of a forest fire
*decided to do a loop trip at the same trailhead, that was open
*realized a couple miles in we'd rather do the loop the other way, but too stubborn to turn around.
*trail turns into a completey brushy mess, brush over my head, couldn't see the trail below us because of all the brush, tripped all over.
*downed logs everywhere, several minutes to get around
*scary river crossings, bridges completely washed out
*bear poo every 15 minutes on trail
*trail obliterated by avalanche debris at about 6:20 PM, with over 1000 feet to gain to get to our camp.
*did I mention the bugs?
*did I mention we were on this trail for 16 MILES

And to top it off: SOMEONE (Scott) FORGOT THE COOKING POTS!

I was getting mentally prepared for a cold dinner/breakfast, and to perhaps go a bit hungry, but Scott the engineer made a pot out of our beer cans.

It worked. I thought it was pretty funny.

See video of improvised stove in one of the pictures below.
